This very scenario has happened several times before at a few call centers that I have worked at in the past. You might not think wearing a uniform matters, but in a lot of ways, it does.

In this line of work, you are going to be talking to people on the phone all day. The customer won’t physically be able to see you. This means that it doesn’t really matter how you appear while at home.
