50% OFF Medium Chocolate Easter Eggs at Morrisons (£0.75 each)

As you probably know, the Easter holidays are just around the corner. The time will soon come when households up and down the country will try to get their hands on milk chocolate eggs and other confectionary associated with Easter.

This might be something specifically for the kids or just bought as a little treat for you. Either way, there are some good deals out there that you should definitely hear about.

When & where will this promotion be happening?

This deal is only currently available at Morrisons supermarkets. You can either pop along in person or simply add the qualifying items to you basket when you do your online grocery shop (for delivery or collection).

The offer initially kicked off on the 15th of February. It will come to an end next week on the 21st of February (Thursday).

Which chocolate Easter eggs are included in this offer?

Some of the well known brands and products available in this offer include:

Price

You can get your hands on a medium sized chocolate egg for only £0.75. For a short window of time, you can get any of these chocolate eggs for half price (50% off). These were previously £1.50.

After a bit of research, I discovered that you would have to pay approximately £5 or the next size up (200-250 grams). It’s a pretty decent offer, all things considered.

Are these chocolate Easter eggs good value for money?

Due to inflation, most food items tend to get smaller and the prices tend to get higher over time. This seems to be especially true and noticeable with chocolate Easter eggs. For instance, you should see the current price of a single Cadbury creme egg if you really want to give yourself a shock.

For shoppers, it’s often smart to judge the value of food purchases based on weight. Out of the selection, the heaviest chocolate egg is 128 grams. You are getting pretty good value for money here.

Some believe that plain chocolate easter eggs are generally a bit of a rip off. It’s hard to disagree when certain people argue that you are mainly paying for the egg shape and the fancy packaging.

Just compare the typical price to chocolate content ratio of an Easter egg as opposed to a basic, evergreen chocolate bar that is available all year round.

For this reason, it’s a good thing that these special Easter promotions exist, in my view. Do you normal receive a chocolate Easter egg from a loved one each year? Which is your favourite chocolate Easter egg and why?
