As a promotional stunt for the premiere of Star Trek Strange New Worlds season 2, Paramount Plus has decided to release the entire first season on YouTube for absolutely free. With a free VPN, you can now join Captain Pike and his crew on their adventures through space.

How long do I have to watch all of Star Trek Strange New Worlds on YouTube?
I first noticed this promotion crop up around the 12th of June. After some research, I have found that this is the exact date that the YouTube video for the first episode was published anyway.
I’m not exactly sure how long this deal will continue. Interestingly, I previously wrote about a similar offer to this for HBO’s The Last of Us.
There is a strong chance that particular pilot episode may have now disappeared from YouTube at this point. For this reason, who knows how long Star Trek Strange New Worlds will remain uploaded?

Fans have always considered Star Trek to be the thinking person’s science fiction. I’ve got to admit, it is quite cerebral, having much deeper themes and ideas than many other sci-fi properties.
Personally, the last Star Trek series I watched was Star Trek Discovery which I thought was fairly good. I have also enjoyed a smattering of random episodes from Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek The Original Series in the past.

My Experience with Science Fiction
In terms of other sci-fi, I’ve always loved Ridley Scott’s films such as Blade Runner and Alien. In addition, John Carpenter’s The Thing is great if you’re in the mood for some effective sci-fi horror scares. When it comes to television specifically, I really love sci-fi anthology series such as Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone.
As a sci-fi fan myself, it’s great to see people being treated with this type of entertainment without having to put their hands in their pockets.
The disparity between the number of episodes available for US as opposed to UK audiences is slightly annoying. Nonetheless, we are still getting all of this for free so who can really complain? It certainly beats having to buy Star Trek Strange New Worlds.
